    Hello. First off, VirtuaNES is the BEST emulator for NES, and it is dring me crazy that I cannot use it. On two computers so far over time this has happened and I cannot figure out why. After playing for months with it on one computer I started getting an error when loading. 

CDirectInput:CoCreateInstance failed. 



This is from DirectInput.cpp @ line 245.پ@I cracked open the code but I'm not good at CPP at all. 



I was forced to play only on another computer. It was working fine for a month or so and today it just started again.پ@Restarting my computer and unplugging all my joysticks has no effect.



Someone please please please help me!

Perhaps I think that registry of Windows becomes strange.

A symptom may improve it that DirectX tries to be installed again.

Thank you for your reply! The variable of m_ldp (I think that is the name) is null at the time of the CoCreateInstance call.پ@I've tried in the past to reinstall DirectX 9 but I have not found a way to do it. Would you be able to help on that? I would like to get this tracked down.



Are you still making updates to VirtuaNES?

m_lpDI is all right in NULL.

Debugging it is difficult with my PC.:(

I try to think about whether other methods are usable at once.



Now I hardly do update of VirtuaNES because VirtuaNES2 is being produced.

Is there anything I can do to help you debug? I did recompile with a !COMUSE flag.. I changed the precompiler to = FALSE i think and recompiled. it runs fine now with that :)



What is VirtuaNES2 going to be??? I wish all emulators were exactly the same as yours.

It is difficult to grow whether an emulator author thinks that it is done with the aim of it generally.

However, I believe that it is for it to be possible if it isn't given up.

well if you made a button assignable on the controller that pushes the ALT key for menu and then do code to check if it is in the menu and if the UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT or A buttons are pushed, remap them to keys on the keyboard of the arrow and enter keys :)
